I am trying to find the best way to hook all this up. I bought a 1 to 3 HDMI switch. The only thing that I cannot figure out is how I get the sound from the PS3/Blue Ray movies to come out of my surround sound speakers. I do not have an HDMI on my DVD/Receiver, but I have an optical connection on the PS3, the receiver and the TV. Any help would be great.
Hook up the HDMI cables from the Cable Box and PS3 into the switcher then into the TV’s HDMI input. Plug the DVD into the TV using standard cables.
Then take an optical cable from the tv into the Reciever, then make sure your reciever knows that the sound is coming from optical port.

The best way is to buy a HDMI switching receiver ( has 3 HDMI input ) , you also get some new HD sound formats from Blu-ray movies. It costs you around $400.
